“innovative, intriguing, seductive”

the result of ripened grapes harvested in vineyards at high altitudes and low temperatures which offer flavors reminiscent of fig trees

Venezia Giulia IGT (Geographical Identification) – Azienda Agricola KANTE.
Obtained by hand-harvested Sauvignon 2010 grapes.
The vineyard is located at 250 meters above sea level in the Carso Triestino; an area composed of red soil and limestone rock characterized by strong drainage.
With a density of 7,000 plants per hectare, a yield of 800g per plant, and a single Guyot cultivation system, it has been the symbol of the winery’s indigenous research for over 20 years.
In the Cellar
White wine vinification involves 12 months aging in antique French oak barriques followed by stabilization in steel tanks. The wine is then bottled without any filtration and remains in the cellar for more than 90 months.
Final alcohol content is 11.5%.
Climate Trends
Cold spring with delayed blossoming. The summer was generally wet with cold days during the vendemmia period.
Wine Tasting
The wine has a straw-yellow color.
It creates a balanced encounter between the various notes of the local herbs, the fruity ones and the typical minerality found in the soils of the Carso, with its spices and roasts. An intense perfume that at the moment of tasting, transmits the elegance and character of the wine enriched by a light smoky sensation. The aftertaste leaves a persistent and pleasant taste with a very enveloping finish reminiscent of balsamic sensations and the scents of fig.
Serving recommended between 10 – 12°C.
The Label
The green of the fig tree, the black of pragmatism, the red of passion, the gold of wealth.
